Our Staff

All staff must undergo yearly background checks and hold current CPR and First Aid certifications.

Debbie Hartman, Director

Debbie is a dedicated Program Director with over 13 years of experience at Grove Park Chapel (GPC), where she has taught all age groups. In December 2024, she stepped into the role of Program Director, bringing her wealth of experience and passion for nurturing children’s growth. Debbie is an active member of Southbridge Fellowship Church and enjoys teaching 2 and 3 year-olds on Sundays. Outside of her professional life, she has been happily married to her husband for 38 years and is the proud mother of two daughters, one son, a daughter-in-law, and two grandsons

Courtney Brooks, Financial Administrator

Courtney’s mom started this program in 1997 and Courtney has helped in some capacity since the program began. She has been a lead teacher in the past and is currently the Financial Administrator. Courtney has been a member of Grove Park Chapel since 1991 and has actively served in multiple ministries including AWANA, VBS, and children’s church & nursery.

Busy Bees 2 years

Stephanie Oyler, Lead Teacher

Stephanie joined our team in 2025. She has been married for 11 years and is the mom of two adventurous boys and one sweet girl. All three of her children have attended Grove Park Chapel Preschool, so this school already feels like home to her and her family. They also have a dog that keeps their life extra fun! Before starting at GPCP she spent several years as a nanny and then became a homeschool teacher to her kids. She loves seeing little ones grow, explore and discover the world around them.

Emily Coleman, Assistant Teacher

Emily joined our staff in 2025. She has two children of her own and absolutely loves working with children. She is looking forward to working with the kids in the Busy Bees class.

Happy Hoppers 3 years

Linda Pierce, Lead Teacher

Linda Pierce joined our staff in 2016. She has worked in education for a number of years. She loves spending time with her three children and her grandchildren. She serves alongside her husband Steve at a church in Creedmoor. They have been in pastoral ministry for the past 47 years.

Melody Brooks, Lead Teacher

Melody grew up in a pastor’s home and trusted Christ at the age of 8. She served as the first teacher’s assistant at Grove Park Chapel Preschool from 1997 to 2004 and later worked at Bethesda Christian Academy Daycare for two years. For the past eight years, she has been a nanny for three different families, two of which were from the preschool. Melody holds a Teacher’s Aide Certificate and has been a member of Grove Park Chapel since 1991, actively serving in various ministries. She is thrilled to be serving her 5th year as a lead teacher at Grove Park Chapel Preschool.

Marsha Hamilton, Assistant

Marsha is a part of the GPCP team since 2019. She is a registered nurse and worked for the American Red Cross for 35 years. She is a mother of two and grandmother of 3. Since retirement she has cared for her grandchildren and has been a nanny for three children for the past three years. She is a member of the Summit church where she serves as a two-year-old teacher.

Flying Cardinals 4 years

Denise Ellis, Lead Teacher

Denise has been with the school since 2009. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Iona College in New York. She chose to stay home with her children for 7 years before coming to GPCP. Both of her children attended GPCP prior to Denise joining our team of teachers. Her family is very involved in her home church.

Kim Gasiewicz, Assistant

Kim started at GPC Preschool in 2005 and is currently an Assistant Teacher with our Pre-K class. She holds an associate degree in early childhood. Kim has worked as both Lead Teacher and Assistant Teacher while at GPCP. She is married to her high school sweetheart, David and has 2 sons, 3 grandsons and 1 granddaughter, which have all gone through GPCP.

Tracy Spies, Lead Teacher

Tracy joined our staff in 2024. She is happily married to her husband of 25 years with two adult children. She loves spending time outdoors on her hobby farm with her family.
